All IAKP practitioners also donate a portion of the payment from each Kambo session to the Matses tribe which helps them to buy necessities and to help purchase and secure their ancestral lands. The population of these frogs themselves are not threatened, as they are prolific breeders, but the land they live on is threatened by deforestation. These donations collectively made by the IAKP help to secure the tribes culture & lands, and also to preserve the habitat of Kambo.
